Not into drawing? Then bring in your own mecha set and come assemble it with us!

Every Friday, we’ll give our esteemed Screening Director a theme from which he then compiles a fun-filled list of episodes from anime and J-drama series!
As an auspicious start to the new semester, our very first theme for this Friday will be ‘Comedy’ – which will hopefully mean an arfternoon filled with laughter and chortling!

Description
Come and celebrate one of our favourite past-times and staple events, Karaoke + Eatout! If you have a burning desire to sing, then come along and make a fool of yourself at karaoke. Because you can’t stop the music! Nobody can stop the music! And if you don’t feel like singing, then come along anyway and watch other people make fools of themselves.

Afterwards, join us for dinner. Fill your stomach with Japanese food, drink some sake and have a chat with other club members!

For those who don’t know how to get there
Meet up at Town Hall steps at 1:45pm and we’ll walk down. I’ll give more details on how to spot us closer to the date.

Uni is starting back up again, and so is Anime@UTS’ annual orientation picnic! Say hello to our old and new members alike this Saturday at Victoria Park!

Victoria Park is a quick walk down Broadway from UTS, opposite the Broadway Shopping Center. If you’re not sure of the way, meet us at 10:30 at the UTS Building 1 (main tower) foyer near security.

We ask everyone to bring along some food or drink to share around. There’ll probably be a group trip across the road to Coles if you’re not sure what to get beforehand.

The UTS Union’s Orientation Day is on this Wednesday (24th of Feb)! Come along, enjoy the loot, eat/drink the free food and sign up to your most favourite club in the whole wide world: EGG I mean Anime@UTS!

During the holidays, we’ve had some brainstorming sessions and laid out some plans for the new year. Of course, these meetings happened over karaoke and japanese food, so no one really wrote anything down. But recalling from memory, here’s a few things we’d agreed upon:

• New Website – which includes a new anime@uts blog!
• New Weekly Events – such as dinner nights and theme nights (Maybe a boku no pico night just for Seakas)
• More merch
• More eatouts!

At least some of us are working…

The AnimeSydney Card will also be returning this year, which will give you discounts at a variety of places like Passionflower and Norita!

IRC is where you can chat directly to the club members. Its probably the best way (apart from coming to events and such) to get to know people in the club. There are conversations about anime, gaming, some of the weirder things on the internet and just life in general (also a nice way to ask about anything to do with the uni). So come along and have a chat with us. Note – If you join and no one is talking, just wait a little or try to start a conversation. We’re all friendly people, but sometimes we’re busy (like watching anime) and not looking at our chat windows.
