Badge Design Competition

Feeling creative? Want to contribute and give something back to the club?

Anime@UTS is looking for designs for badges to be sold at SMASH! 2012! They can feature anything – from fanart to original art, quotes, pictures and memes. Whatever you think that others would find interesting!

Just remember: whatever you submit to us, no matter who has influenced it, has it to be your own creation, and not directly copied from official sources. (If you’re making fanart by redrawing something from official art, this is fine as long as it’s not traced. Try to give it your own flair!)

If your badge design is chosen, your badge will help the club financially (fund events, new merchandise ideas, etc) and there will be various prizes for best designs. Plus we’d be happy to promote you at our stall at SMASH!  if you also do art professionally. :)

Picture It – There’s a Monday feeling to this post.

Some of us who either follow recent anime seasons or the ever-growing world that is Vocaloid (particularly supercell’s works) may be familiar with this artist today, having either directly or indirectly sampled his work from either of these mediums. He has drawn official and album cover art for supercell singles, done the original character and setting design and official art for the world of Guilty Crown and designed and drawn for novels and visual novels. His style is eye-catching, vibrant, interesting and distinctive, and he is known as redjuice.

Picture It – Lazy Valentines Edition

Is it me, or do these get shorter? A belated Valentines Day on my part, but I hope you all enjoyed the day none the less.

What is below not as fine as the specimens from yesterday, but none the less, each has their own art style that they prefer, and you’ll see much more uniquely styled art on this site in weeks to come, so bear with me and my addled mind and my limited thought process for now.

Here’s Nyanko-sensei celebrating yesterday with what he likes doing best:
