Holiday Event – Karake+Eatout

April 27, 2011, by , posted in Events

Spend some time for relaxation if you’ve been working on assignments all holidays. If you haven’t been following us on Facebook, please feel free to do so now. Otherwise keep an eye on our Twitter feed.

Time: Saturday, April 30, 2011 · 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Location: Mizuya Japanese Restaurant & Karaoke, Town Hall
Price: (karaoke only): $15 for the 3 hour block

Come and celebrate one of our favourite past-times and staple events, Karaoke + Eatout! If you have a burning desire to sing, come and make a fool of yourself at karaoke. Because you can’t stop the music! Nobody can stop the music! And if you don’t feel like singing, then come along anyway and watch other people make fools of themselves.

Afterwards, join us for dinner*. Fill your stomach with Japanese food, drink some sake (if you’re overage) and have a chat with other club members!

Don’t know where Mizuya is?

No worries! We’ll be meeting at the front Town Hall steps (facing Woolworths) at 1:45PM, so if you don’t know where to go, just look for us there and we will set off together. For a general idea, Mizuya is across the road from the George St Cinemas, next to Galaxy World.

Please consult the Anime@UTS IRC if you have any concerns.

How to get to IRC:

Contact Numbers for the day

William Wong: 0402 057 928
Clara Tse: 0432 951 661

*Please let us know if you are coming to dinner so that we may make arrangements based on numbers! Please give us your replies by Friday!

Music Monday – Just Be Friends

, by , posted in Music

It’s actually a song in the perspective of the male in a relationship which inspired me to post the male cover of the song for everyone to enjoy. It’s equal to or better to the Luka version.

Music Monday

April 18, 2011, by , posted in Features

I admit to not knowing all that much about .hack// apart from reading the manga of one of the many stories. I’ve always had it on the ‘to watch’ list, but other things have usually taken precedence when it comes down to it. Even so, one can still enjoy the lovely OST that comes with the .hack//GU trilogy. I’m a real fan of such types of music. :> This is a apparently a little remix for //LINK.

fuwa fuwa ii fuwafuwa o~

This is from Bakemonogatari. I liked the series minus the crazy text spam SHAFT has escalated to. Each arc relates to folklore or supernatural experience which in my eyes made this pretty mainstream. Other than that enjoy this catchy Music Monday.

P.S It comes with a dance!
